Online pictures looked way better than the actual place. Think Motel 8 before their revamp. Requested a room change bc 1st room was musty, carpet felt wet. 2nd room was a better (habitable) but still had lingering smoking smell. Performed my own maintenance- trash removal, cleaning, towel/floor mat replacement. Points for BBQ and picnic table usage, and basic breakfast were available.

The room lowkey smelled like pee and we saw hairs in the shower/on the towels. The rooms could be cleaner, and the hotel is pretty outdated. If you stay there one night it might be fine but for more than one you may want to find somewhere cleaner and better overall!

Our stay at Comfort Inn & Suites Plattsburgh was a mixed experience. Unfortunately, the hotel wasn’t as clean as we expected. The TV in the sitting room didn’t work, the telephone in our room didn’t work, and the TV channel selection was very limited. One of the biggest disappointments was that several of the amenities listed on the website were either inaccurate or not well maintained. The “spa” is really just a sauna, and many of the outdoor areas shown on the website were overgrown or in disrepair (see my pictures). The back entrance leading to the guest room hallway also didn’t lock, so no room key was needed to access the rooms, which didn’t make us feel very secure. On the positive side, the game room and indoor water park looked pretty cool and appeared to be in good condition. The gentleman working the front desk in the evening had outstanding customer service. He was friendly, helpful, and made the best impression of our stay. The complimentary breakfast was delicious, and the breakfast area was clean and well maintained. While I wouldn’t choose this hotel again, I would absolutely return to Plattsburgh. The city itself is delightful, clean, full of friendly people, and surrounded by beautiful scenery. It was definitely the highlight of our trip.
